The units were sold in 1998 for $981,000, according to property records, and the local assessor puts the current market value close to that figure. Meanwhile, three other units in the Trinity Commons Commercial Center are on the market at prices ranging from $85 per sf to $110 per sf. Sheldon Good & Co. Auctions LLC will hold open-outcry bidding for the Powerhouse Gym units Sept. 29 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Elgin.

"Each is taxed as a separate unit and zoned as part of a B-4 Commercial Business District," says Sheldon Good & Co. Auctions LLC chairman and chief executive officer Steven L. Good. "This means the space can be easily divided to create a variety of configurations and accommodate most any kind of retail or commercial venture, such as stores, a medical clinic, day care facilities, general offices and service facilities."
