The endeavor is expected to spare taxpayers a tidy sum on an annual basis. "The Government Printing Office is one step closer to saving taxpayers an estimated $35 million a year," says Bruce R. James, public printer of the US. "That is because we are making great progress toward realizing an innovative project that would redevelop the GPO's historic structures and in turn allow the agency to relocate from an aging multi-story building to a new, modern and efficient facility."
The headquarters property is at 7 G St. at the corner of G and North Capitol streets. Staubach will explore a bevy of options for the GPO, including the possibility of the organization building its own facility.
