Starbucks, Anna's Linens, Footlocker, GNC, Zales, Motherhood Maternity, Lady Footlocker and Champs Sporting Goods also are on the tenant roster at the center, located at Diversey and Narragansett avenues. Mid-America Asset Management, Inc. is handling leasing at Brickyard Mall, after overseeing its redevelopment.
A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Oct. 14. The city is contributing $26.5 million in tax increment financing to help redevelop a mall that had been 80% with the loss of three anchor tenants. "I truly believe the Brickyard will become a model for the rest of the country," says 36th Ward Alderman William Banks.
