Weiss Development, which bills itself as "Chicagoland's First Family of Condominium Builders," bought the land from Emerald Pointe General Partnership of Kenilworth. Weiss Development traces its roots to the 1970s, the market's first condominium boom.

"This development site is situated at the center of a hotbed of retail with Hawthorne Mall, RiverTree Plaza and many other local centers and restaurants within a half mile," says Inland Real Estate Sales associate Andrew Watson. "This site should be unique to the city of Vernon Hills as it will be one of the few multifamily projects in a beautifully wooded area along the Des Plaines River."
