ARLINGTON, VA-Three new stores--Club Monaco, Lillie Rubin, and American Greetings--have signed on to open in the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, giving the popular 860,000-sf shopping destination additional upscale retail options. The newest occupants' leases with Fashion Centre owner Simon Property Group Inc. account for a total of nearly 7,000 sf.

Fashion Centre general manager Suzette Timme tells GlobeSt.com that the three lease agreements are all long-term and leave the shopping center with a 99% occupancy level. Timme adds that the leasing team does not disclose information regarding leasing rates; however, according to NAI Direct Inc., retail space in Northern Virginia retail centers ranges from $14 to $35 per sf.

Anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's, the four-level Fashion Centre--which is adjacent to the 366-room Ritz Carlton Pentagon City--caters to a variety of shoppers seeking luxury offerings. Private label clothing and accessories shop Club Monaco will make its home in a nearly 3,300-sf space, while women's formal and causal wear store Lillie Rubin will occupy a 1,500-sf space, and greeting card store American Greetings will open up in a 2,000-sf space. "Club Monaco, Lillie Rubin, and American Greetings greatly add to our status as a premiere regional and national shopping destination," Timme notes in a statement.
