The one-year-old Intresinc is led by Barbara Spohn, Martin Brannon and Tom McLaughlin, a team with more than a combined 90 years in the corporate real estate sector. The trio, primarily working as consultants, will take on roles as managing partners for Mohr.

Spohn says Mohr went knocking on the firm's door to strike a deal for the two-city Intrensinc. On the flip side, the merger will allow the offices to expand. Spohn and Brannon will remain in charge of the Atlanta office at 409 John Wesley Dobbs Ave. and McLaughlin will continue at the helm of the Philadelphia practice at 1055 Westlakes Dr. Under the merger, the trio will jointly manage the two offices.

Tom Wenkstern, Mohr's managing partner in Dallas and chief marketing officer, tells GlobeSt.com that merger talks began six months ago after the Chicago meeting of CoreNet Global. "It's a genuine merger of activities," he says, adding the expansion of the offices is still under discussion. "We've been doing business in Philadelphia and Atlanta for a number of years, but it's always good to have a local office in the metropolitan areas."

The flag changes immediately although it doesn't include Spohn's Marketing Strategies Inc., an adviser to architectural, engineering and professional services' firms. The double run takes Mohr's US office count to 17.

Spohn, with 30 years' experience, is a board director of the Atlanta chapter of CoreNet Global, which she helped to guide during Nacore's merger with IDRC. She is a lecturer, author and broker of deals in the US and Europe.

Brannon, with 33 years' experience, is president-elect of the CoreNet Global's Atlanta chapter and member of the parent organization's national learning advisory committee. Prior to forming Intresinc, he was a corporate real estate executive for Mirant, Southern Energy and the Southern Co., leasing and subleasing nearly two million sf of office space in the US, Canada and Europe in 10 years.

McLaughlin, a 30-year-plus professional, is a board director for the Philadelphia chapter of CoreNet Global. He focuses on industrial projects, including brownfield initiatives, although he's overseen acquisition, disposition, leasing and integration of various facilities in 35 states, Canada and abroad for corporations like ICI Americas, Rhone Poulenc and Rhodia.
