Weller joins U.S. Realty Management after stints at Miglin-Beitler, Insignia/ESG, SN Phelps Realty and Grubb & Ellis.
Both properties are located in the Michigan Boulevard historic district, which runs between Randolph and 11th streets to create a "streetwall." U.S. Realty Management plans to renovate both buildings, which are more than 90 years old. The 20-story McCormick Building includes 319,250 sf of office space acquired for $29 million, with 75 condominiums on the top six floors. The luxury units were added in 1997. The 539,378-sf Peoples Gas Building, designed by D.H. Burnham & Co., was sold for $40 million, according to property records.
