Gordon Messinger, an industrial and office broker who joined Miami Beach-based Terranova Corp. last November, brought La Fe Foods to the table after a long search that finally led it to the Cargill property, which had been on and off the market for more than a year.
The specialized improvements on the Cargill property, which were tailored for food preparation and cold storage, limited the universe of potential buyers, but filled La Fe Foods' appetite for expansion. La Fe, a food processor with operations in Miami and New Jersey, supplies its brand-name frozen and canned foods to supermarkets and convenience stores.
