"We are calling it our world headquarters, although our world is Metro Boston," says Laura Trust, co-president of the company. "We outgrew our old facility and wanted someplace where we could expand our operations. This site provided everything we want--space to grow, convenience for our employees and an outlet store so area residents can purchase our products."
Located just off the Mass Pike, the building became available when ADE, a supplier of systems controls for semiconductors, relocated to its Westwood headquarters to consolidate their manufacturing and engineering operations in 2003. The building will be retrofitted from a predominately office use environment to accommodate the outlet store, a café, a dough-making facility and a test kitchen.
Trust also plans to conduct tours of the facility for civic groups, featuring the company's history and viewings of the bagel-making process. The company will also operate its wholesale business from the new site when it opens in the spring.
Finagle a Bagel was represented by Sean M. Teague, principal, and Kim Roop, VP, of the Trammell Crow Co. Wayne Seigel and Jim Boudrot of NAI Hunneman Commercial represented the seller.
