When Stone Mountain bought the building less than a year ago, it marked the company's first foray into the New Jersey commercial real estate market. The company owns and operates some 2,000 multifamily apartment units in Northern New Jersey and Houston, and 255,000 sf of commercial space. Most of the latter is in Houston.
"Our objective is to transform 830 Morris Turnpike," says Ceyan Birney, a principal of Stone Mountain, whose company's New Jersey offices are located just up the road at 806 Morris Turnpike. Stone Mountain's other office is in Houston. The makeover is slated for a midyear completion.
The leasing effort will be carried out by C&W's Bill McCaffrey, Jeffrey Heller and Chris McCaffrey.
