LONG BRANCH, NJ-Applied Development Co. has signed three more retail tenants for its Pier Village oceanfront redevelopment project here. The total space involved in the three boutique leases is 8,000 sf, and the signings bring the project's 100,000-sf retail component to the 80% leased mark.
The three new tenants, which will fairly evenly divide the 8,000 sf, are Aquamedica, a full-service day spa; Space Interiors, a furniture store; and Jonte Jewelers. For Aquamedica, the location is the locally based company's second, following its first store, Aquatica, in nearby Shrewsbury, NJ. It's also the second location for Space Interiors, which has a five-year-old store in nearby Red Bank, NJ.
"Each will add their own personal style to the community," says Greg Russo, vice president of the Hoboken, NJ-based Applied Development. The mixed-use Pier Village's ground-floor retail component will be topped by 420 luxury rental residences. A spring opening is slated for the stores, with the latest trio joining a list that includes McLoone's Pier House, a restaurant; the Turning Point; Gold's Gym; and Kidegories. Residential leasing is also under way.
