The 1750 South Mesa Dr. building, adjacent to the Maricopa County Government East Valley Campus, holds the regional headquarters for Renal Care Group Inc. and the Maricopa County public defender's office. The county lease expires in 2007 and Renal Care Group's ends in 2009, says Dennis Desmond, a senior vice president with Trammell Crow Co. He, Karsten Peterson, Dave Seeger and Mark Gustin represented the seller.
Desmond tells GlobeSt.com that the building received nearly 10 offers. "We were able to get the asking price for it because product like this with good credit tenants and long-term leases is hard to find," he says.
Built in 1987, the two-story building is readily accessible to the Superstition Freeway. "The true value of the building is that it's right off the freeway," Desmond says. "It's very convenient." Craig Coppola in Lee & Associates Arizona's Phoenix office represented the buyer.
