THE WOODLANDS, TX-After opening the first Stepping Stones in 2000, business partners and cousins Kellie Anderson and Erin McDowell are moving forward with a second location. The 15,500-sf project will rise on 1.8 acres in the Village of Sterling Ridge.
Construction on the center, ticketed for 11900 Cranebrook Dr. near theintersection of Woodlands Parkway, will begin this month. The center is expected to be open for business in time for the 2005-06 school year. The partnership's other Stepping Stones is located at 10601 Falconwing Dr. in the Woodlands' Village of Indian Springs. According to Montgomery Central Appraisal District, the center has an assessed value of $1.7 million.
The program consists of private kindergarten, pre-first and first grades, with an after-school care provided for children up to fourth grade. Infant and preschool programs are available for children from six weeks old to four years old.
The Woodlands Development Co. was represented internally in the land sale by Greg Jordan, director of commercial land sales. Anderson & McDowell negotiated the sale for Stepping Stones.
