Redwood City, CA-based Menlo Worldwide downsized from 60,000 sf at 2937 E. Broadway Rd. "The lease was expiring and they wanted to be in a central location close to the airport," Bruce Campbell, a first vice president with CB Richard Ellis Inc., tells GlobeSt.com about the move to 1710 E. Grant St. "The move was location-driven." He represented Miller Valentine in the transaction.

Menlo Worldwide, a delivery service specializing in large packages, is now much closer to key customers, Honeywell and Arrow Electronics. The 121,000-sf Sky Harbor building formerly was occupied by Maintenance Warehouse, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Home Deport Inc. The company vacated the space in August 2004, Campbell says.

With the Menlo Worldwide lease, the five-year-old building is pushing 100% occupancy. Miller Valentine built the warehouse as a speculative development beside Miller Brands' build-to-suit facility. Thomas Louer of Lee & Associates Arizona represented Menlo Worldwide in the transaction.
