The building, which will serve as the firm's new regional headquarters, will also be home to Spectel Inc., an audio-conferencing company acquired by Avaya. Spectel will be relocating from 200 Minuteman Rd. in Andover. The companies are expected to move in by mid-summer, following completion of interior construction.
"This was a complex transaction that involved the simultaneous termination of an existing lease with the current tenant, Sycamore Networks," says Flory McCarthy, assistant VP at Spaulding & Slye Colliers, in a statement. "Sycamore was able to save money on surplus space, Avaya secured a premier office building in excellent condition…and Farley White Interests gains another great tenant for five years."
McCarthy and principal Tamie R. Thompson of Spaulding & Slye Colliers represented the owner, Farley White Interests LLC. Avaya was represented by Rob Walles, Jason Levendusky and Matt Flahrty of CBRE/Whittier Partners.
