The transaction marks the sixth lease renewal and/or space expansion by Crane since it became a tenant at the property in 1992. With the new deal, the company will occupy its space on the fourth floor of 100 First Stamford Place until 2018. Prior to the new deal, the firm had leased 23,302 sf at the building.
First Stamford Place is a three-building, 810,000-sf office complex, located near the Stamford Transportation Center Downtown. Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of W&M Properties, the marketing and managing agent for the office complex, says the deal "affirms the desirability of our class A properties in the Stamford office market."
Newman was assisted by W&M Properties' senior leasing associate Kathleen A. Caracappa in representing the building ownership. The tenant was represented by Steven F. Baker, senior director of Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut Inc.
