VIRGINIA BEACH, VA-Courthouse Marketplace, a $20-million shopping center project currently in the works from local developer Armada Hoffler, recently secured three new tenants--Quizno's Subs, Tran Nails and Great Clips hair salon--to take on a total of 4,600 sf at the 122,000-sf development. Harris Teeter had already signed on to serve as the center's anchor, occupying a 48,000-sf space.
Once Courthouse Marketplace reaches completion Quizno's will settle into a 1,600-sf space; Tran Nails will open its doors in a 1,600-sf space, as well; and Great Clips will make its home in 1,400 sf. Divaris Real Estate Inc. is overseeing leasing activity at the open-air, Main Street style property, where it markets space for about $24 per sf.
Construction of the retail destination is expected to get under way this summer and wrap up in the summer of 2006. It will be located on a 23-acre parcel of fields near the city's Municipal Center in the historic Courthouse District.
