GETTYSBURG, PA-Three traditional retailers inked leases for an aggregate 6,600 sf at Gettysburg Village Factory Stores here, which is in the process of expanding from its initial 240,000 sf by another 200,000 sf in a series of phases. The newcomers are Danskin, EB Games and Hush Puppies.
Danskin will open a 2,600-sf store next to BonWorth. EB Games will take a 1,200-sf space next to Kitchen Collection, and Hush Puppies will open a 2,800-sf store next to Casual Corner. Terms and rates of the leases are undisclosed. Stores in the center, which is owned by Philadelphia-based AMC Delancey Group, are located within a Main Street America setting that also includes entertainment venues.
When the expansion was announced, Michael Wachs, an AMC Delancey VP, told GlobeSt.com, the center would continue its focus on outlet/discount retailers while balancing "the value concept with some more traditional lifestyle merchants." The $20-million expansion plan begins with a 40,000-sf, nine-screen theater and a 7,000-sf freestanding TGI Friday's, both of which are expected to reach completion by the end of this year. Grand openings for the newest retail tenants will take place this spring.
