The value of the lease is undisclosed. But Danet Linares, on-site VP of leasing and marketing for the owner, Germany-based Blue Capital Management, tells GlobeSt.com the rental rates in the building range between $29 per sf and $33 per sf.

Gregory Katz, EVP and branch manager of Studley's Florida region, and Jon Bourbeau, associate director of the office in Fort Lauderdale, represented the tenant in negotiations for this transaction. Studley has represented the law firm, which has more than 680 attorneys in 15 offices in the US and London, on a national basis for 15 years.

Expansion here will accommodate its rapidly growing litigation practice. Jeff Herts, office administrator, says the move into contiguous floors in the building represented the least disruption to business. The building's proximity to the courthouse and on-site amenities for attorneys and staff were additional advantages "for an industry known for incredibly long work hours," says Bourbeau.
