Statewide, casinos generated $64 million in adjusted gross proceeds–the amount wagered by bettors less payouts from casinos. That is up 3.3%from the $61.9 million in Mach 2004 and up 3.1% from the $62 million inFebruary, according to the latest Colorado Division of Gaming report.

Black Hawk's 21 casinos report $45.7 million in adjusted gross proceeds,up from $43.9 million in February and $45.4 million in March 2004. CrippleCreek's 19 casinos hit $11.8 million in AGP in March, down from the $12.1million in February and the $12 million in March 2004. However, casinos inCentral City, which is adjacent to Black Hawk and has a new road leading toit from Interstate 70, saw its seven casinos generate $6.4 million in AGP inMarch, up from $6 million in February and $4.4 million in March 2004.

In March, Black Hawk casinos accounted for 71.44% of the statewidemarket; Cripple Creek's casinos, 18.53%; and Central City's casinos, 10.03%.Statewide, casinos paid $10.2 million in gaming tax proceeds in March, upfrom $9.3 million in February.
