Medicines Co. Adds 19,000 SF

PARSIPPANY, NJ-The life sciences company now occupies a total of 52,000 sf at its headquarters location within the Mack-Cali Business Campus. Its space is 25 times its original lease of five years ago.

The building is within Mack-Cali Business Campus, a 15-building, two million-sf class A office park here. Owner Mack-Cali Realty Corp. was represented in-house by Diane Chayes. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.

The Medicines Co. develops products for acute hospital care. Among other things, the company markets Angiomax (bivalirudin), an anticoagulant for use in patients undergoing coronary angioplasty procedures. Besides its headquarters here, the company has locations in Massachusetts, the UK and New Zealand.
