Gause says the community will be comprised of 105 single cottages or duplex units along with a 14-unit, three-level Manor House, each containing living space of about 2,400 sf. Although the developer has not yet worked out all the property's amenities, Gause says the complex, Cohasset's first 55-and-older community, is expected to feature a tennis court, putting green and a clubhouse with a full kitchen, exercise room and library. Construction on the site will begin in July with completion slated for the spring of 2006, he says.
The project will be a first in Cohasset for Leggat McCall and the first multifamily community to be developed in the town in at least 20 years, Gause says. The real estate development, investment and project management firm has developed several properties throughout Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC and has acquired or developed more than seven million sf with an aggregate value of more than $1.5 billion.
King Taylor Cohasset LLC, an affiliate of King Street Properties and Taylor Caldwell Developers, was represented by Simon J. Butler and Biria St. John, both with CB Richard Ellis/Northeast Multi-Housing Team. CB Richard Ellis also procured the buyer.
