EchoStar Communications Corp. of Englewood, CO is leasing 49,978 sf for six years. Haas Publishing Co., based in Atlanta at 270 Carpenter Dr., is renting 5,342 sf for five years. The average asking gross rent at the DeKalb County building is $17 per sf, Bill Weghorst, senior vice president and director of PM Realty Group's Atlanta region, tells GlobeSt.com.

Weghorst and broker Bill Langley negotiated for the landlord on the EchoStar lease. Bill Leonard of Wm. Leonard & Co. represented the tenant. Langley and Chip Roach of PM negotiated for the landlord in the Haas Publishing lease. Dan Granot of Advantis Real Estate Services Co. represented the tenant.

"The building's location in the center of metro Atlanta makes it attractive for national companies such as EchoStar and Haas Publishing." 211 Perimeter Center is near the 1.48-million-sf, 34-year-old Perimeter Mall in North Fulton County, one of the oldest and largest shopping centers in metro Atlanta.
