The property at 300 Broad St. was originally built in 1970 and used as an office building. In 1995 Spinnaker Properties converted it to a 71-unit apartment complex. Five years later SSR Realty Advisors purchased the complex.
Senior directors Patrick Colwell and George Lambros of the Cushman & Wakefield Capital Markets Group represented the seller and the procured the buyer. According to Cushman officials, Luzero is looking to keep the building as residential housing and may look to convert the property to condominium use in the future.
Lambros says, "The real estate investment market in Fairfield County is driven on a sub-market and asset specific basis with investors looking to acquire well-positioned stabilized and added value opportunities."
"The Windemere is well positioned in Stamford's high density multifamily residential neighborhood with easy access to all of the Central Business District amenities," Colwell adds. "The offering attracted interest from a number of regional and national investors."
