Currie and representatives of both firms couldn't be reached by GlobeSt.com's publication deadline to learn why Currie left Cushman & Wakefield. At Cousins, Currie will report to division president Forrest Robinson who joined Cousins last year after a lengthy career at Duke Realty Corp.
In a prepared statement, Robinson says Currie will be responsible for overseeing all of Cousins' industrial marketing and leasing efforts. He says Currie is "highly respected in the real estate industry and his reputation for quality and professionalism is a great fit for Cousins."
At Cushman & Wakefield, Currie focused on client representation in lease deals, acquisitions and build-to-suit developments. He orchestrated deals for clients such as Atlanta Cable Sales, Iron Mountain, Graebel Cos., Mitsubishi Motors of America, Eagle Global Logistics and the Beltmann Group.
