Black Hawk's 21 casinos produced $46.6 million in AGP in May, downslightly form the $46.7 million in May 2004, but an increase from the $44.1 million in April. Cripple Creek, adjacent to Black Hawk, saw its 19 casinos generate $12.9 million in AGP in May, down from the $13.1 million collected in the previous year, but up from the $11.9 million in April.

Central City's seven casinos generated $6.6 million in AGP last month, up nearly 75.8% from the $3.7 million in May 2004, and up more modestly from the $6.1 million in April. In May, Black Hawk casinos accounted for 70.4% of the statewide market. Black Hawk accounts for about 44.6% of all the casinos in the state, but they tend to be the biggest, newest and the easiest to reach. The gaming establishments in Cripple Creek accounted for 19.6% of the tally, even though they only account for about 15% of all the casinos in the state. Central City's casinos, which account for about 40% of all of Colorado's casinos, accounted for only 10% of the AGP. Statewide, casinos paid $11.2 million in gaming tax proceeds in May, an increase of almost $1 million from April.
