HAINESPORT, NJ-Stevens Management Associates has acquired a four-building, 160,000-sf industrial complex and adjacent land from JPE Partners in a deal The sale price was not disclosed, however, sources put the number in the $6 million range. Financing was provided by PNC Bank.
The deal was arranged for the seller by the Philadelphia-based Colliers Lanard & Axilbund. Besides the four buildings and their 30-acre site, the transaction includes an adjacent 18-acre site for future expansion of the industrial park. Seller JPE Partners, a local group, will also lease back two of the buildings for their own use.
And Colliers L&A has also gotten the nod as exclusive marketing agent for the two available 40,000-sf buildings, which are currently vacant. New owner Stevens Management, a Pennsauken, NJ-based commercial and industrial real estate firm, plans to upgrade the buildings with new sprinkler systems, renovation of their office areas and the like.
According to Colliers L&A broker Marc Isdaner, land adjacent to the buildings provides potential tenants "with outside storage or tractor trailer parking, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find." The property is located near Exit 5 of the New Jersey Turnpike in South Jersey.
