Through this gift, Children's will establish the Bill Daniels Children's Hearing Center, through which deaf and hard-of-hearing children in Colorado can receive comprehensive family-centered care. Bill Daniels' own hearing loss formed a strong catalyst for this gift from the Daniels Fund to Children's. Daniels experienced profound hearing loss late in life, attributed to his day as a World War II pilot in his youth.

The Daniels Fund will provide $2 million throughout the next 10 years, allowing Children's to expand audiology and otolaryngology services at the main hospital, in its Children's care centers throughout the metro area and in other parts of Colorado so that parents will be able to find the services their children need within their neighborhoods. An additional $1 million grant will be used to help build new facilities to house Children's hearing programs in the outpatient building of the new hospital.
