Walt Disney World, about 12 miles south of SeaWorld, has two competing water parks--the 50-acre Typhoon Lagoon opened in 1989 and the 66-acre Blizzard Beach opened in 1995.

Anheuser Busch officials have filed brief conceptual plans with the Orange County Planning Department and expect to disclose details by October, the company confirms to GlobeSt.com. The new attraction would be SeaWorld's first since opening the 30-acre Discovery Cove in 2000.

The new park will be developed on the 100 prime acres Anheuser Busch owns along the east side of International Drive, south of Sea Harbor Drive. It's a location that national hotel developers have been willing to pay up to $5 million per acre in the past, industrial real estate sources intimate with the tract and previous potential buyers tell GlobeSt.com.
