Craig Barker, with Boston Real Estate Advisors, tells GlobeSt.com that RC2 Corp. has put its 127,000-sf single story office and warehouse building along with seven acres at 1 Kiddie Dr. on the market for $6.4 million and will relocate its warehouse operation out of state. The move puts the company, based in Oak Brook, IL, in a class A office facility that offers employees access to Routes 128 and 24 while keeping the firm near its employee base. Barker represented RC2 Brands, while Stone & Webster was represented by Bill Twomey of Wyman Street Advisors.

"They wanted to be in a first class office building with easy access to major highways with amenities and in close proximity with their Avon building," notes Barker, adding that the firm subleased the building from Stone & Webster Inc. under a five-year arrangement. Terms of that lease were unavailable, but Barker says similar properties in the area rent in the mid to high teens per sf.

The 197,000-sf 100 Technology Center, located within the Stoughton Technology Center, features a cafeteria, fitness facility and tennis and basketball courts. Its tenants include the Shaw Group and the Philadelphia Insurance Co.
