First Industrial Realty Trust built an 87,500-sf building for Mary Kay in Harrisburg, PA for $8.1 million. Based on that project, the Prairie Stone Business Park building is likely to cost about $13 million.
During the second quarter, the tri-state industrial market saw 5.3 million sf of new projects break ground, according to CB Richard Ellis, bringing the year-to-date total to 6.5 million sf. That includes 3 million sf of speculative building in the south and southwest suburbs, according to CB Richard Ellis.
