The Snake River Lodge & Spa is a RockResort. RockResort, controlled by Vail, owns a collection of luxury resort hotels in the US. A subsidiary of Vail Resorts recently purchased the minority interest in the Snake River project that it didn't own. That gave Vail Resorts complete ownership of the hotel, allowing the company to investigate the feasibility of selling it. No asking price has been publicly set. James Stockdale of Jones Lang LaSalle is handling the process.
Capitalizing on current attractive hotel valuations in the past eight months, Vail Resorts recently sold its 49% interest in the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, and its 100% interest in the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa, both in Colorado. Additionally, the Lodge at Rancho Mirage is under contract for sale.
Vail Resorts Lodging will continue to manage the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa, and RockResorts will manage the Lodge at Rancho Mirage & Spa post-sale. Vail Resorts Lodging currently manages approximately 8,000 hotel and condominium bedrooms across the nation.
