Bob Orban, SVP of brokerage, and Carter Hopkins Jr., VP of corporate advisory services in the local office of Trammell Crow Co., represented Regus. They obtained a rate of below $30 per sf on a full-service basis at Mellon Financial Center, Orban tells GlobeSt.com. "It's a relatively new class A building and it is 93% leased." John Lowell and Alison Lugo of Coral Gables-based Codina Real Estate Services, represented the building owner, identified by the property's address. Mellon Financial Center is a 30-story tower with an aggregate of 523,000 sf.
The new Regus lease in Waterford at Blue Lagoon has a 10-year term and an aggregate value of $12.1 million, according to Orban. Regus maintains signature signage and occupies the two top floors. Steve Smith of Tampa-based Hogan Group represented TIAA-CREF, the owner.
These two locations are among 310 business-ready, professionally staffed workplaces Regus operates in the US and among 750 such locations throughout 60 countries worldwide. Michael Berretta, VP of development, said the South Florida locations "represent a strategic part of our plan to significantly maintain our market leadership in the US."
