The transaction effectively relocates Stat-Med from 20801 N. 19th Ave. to its new location about one mile north at 23606 N. 19th Ave. The Commerceplex, completed earlier this year, consists of three phases of office/warehouse space, amounting to more than 605,000 sf.
According to Jeff Conrad, a principal with Lee & Associates' Phoenix office, who, with Matt Hobaica, worked out the deal, Stat-Med's new lease will give the company double the space than it currently has, as well as other amenities. "They had to move because their location no longer served their needs," he tells GlobeSt.com. "They needed dock loading and better truck maneuverability." Stat-Med, which warehouses and sells specialized hospital beds and other related medical equipment, will move into the Commerceplex in early 2006.
