LOVELAND, CO-Eight more tenants signed leases at the Promenade Shops at Centerra in this northern Colorado city. With these latest deals, the 700,000-sf regional center is 73% leased. It is being developed by Memphis-based Poag & McEwen in the 3,000-plus acre Centerra, a master-planned community owned by locally based McWhinney Enterprises.

"Our leasing efforts continue to progress as construction is on schedule," says Terry McEwen, president of his namesake company. He adds that the official grand opening is scheduled for the end of October.

The center is off Interstate 25 and US Highway 34. The latest round of tenants include: Charlotte Russe, which targets young women in their teens and 20s with apparel and accessories; Hallmark Cards; clothing store JoS. A. Bank; Lids, a clothing store targeting mid-teen to mid-20s customers wanting apparel such as sweatshirts with the names of colleges or professional sports teams; Sunglass Designs; Zales Jewelers; and Zumiez, a retailer of action sports apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories. The store is aimed at men and women from 12 to 24 years old interested skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, motocross and BMXs.

The Promenade Shops at Centerra also will include a sculpture park, walking trail, an ice skating rink in the winter, an amphitheatre for summer special events, a children's play area and an entertainment component, which includes a theater and several restaurants. Centerra also will include 10 million sf of office space, 7,000 housing units, four business hotels, a multi-regional hospital and an automobile Motorplex. When completed, more than 50,000 people will work at Centerra and more than 30,000 people will live there.
