Besides Burrus, Skanska has Anna Ford handling corporate commercial new business and Kurt Mueller handling leads for new government and higher education jobs. Burrus was director of healthcare business development at Summit Builders for 15 months.

He previously worked for Marshall Erdman and Associates, Hospital Building and Equipment Co., and SSM Healthcare System. He has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MBA from Southern Illinois University.
