Ed Mace, president of RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging Co., says he is thrilled to add Hall to his team. "Bill has an impressive background with Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, Westin and several notable independent resorts," Mace points out. "His experience will reinforce our ongoing efforts to be leaders in the luxury resort industry." In addition, RockResorts will be able to capitalize on Hall's background with golf resorts including Pinehurst, Pebble Beach, and the Mayacama Club, says Mace. He says RockResorts plans to grow its presence in the resort golf market.

Hall began his career at Westin Hotels before becoming the general manger of Pinehurst Resort, Pinehurst, NC. He then spent four years as the general manager for Silverado Country Club & Resorts, in Napa, CA, and then went to work at Hyatt Hotels in South Carolina and Sarasota, FL. He was also general manager of Ritz-Carlton's Laguna Niguel, where he led the property during its first two years. Under Hall's direction, The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel received both Mobile Five Star and AAA Five Diamond awards. Most recently, Hall served as general manager of the Mayacama Club in Santa Rosa, CA.

Last month RockResorts announced the signing of multi-year management contract for the Lodge at Rancho Mirage in Palm Springs, CA. In May, the company signed an agreement to manage the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera in Vail Valley, CO, and in January RockResorts retained a long-term management contract for La Posada de Santa Fe, in Santa Fe, NM. The Arrabelle at Vail Square, a RockResort in Vail, CO is currently under construction.
