09/6/05: If there is one positiveaspect of last week's horrific events in the Gulf Coast, it is thatin time of crisis this nation still pulls together and sends helpwhere it's needed. The real estate community is doing its share byproviding a network of help, and we've featured this onGlobeSt.com. However, this is not a time for self-congratulationbut, rather, a time for reflection. There is already a good deal offinger-pointing and all the other acrimonius activities that willfill the airwaves for months, if not years. And there is apparentlyplenty of blame to share throughout every level of government. Yet,Americans are coming together--in spite of those pundits, politicians and other assorted media hogs who are yelling and notlistening. Let's hope we tone down the rhetoric and play up thecompassion.
