"It's a wonderful opportunity for growth," Bill Brokaw, Hillwood's new vice president, tells GlobeSt.com. "I look forward to working hard and upholding the high quality and standards that Hillwood represents."

Brokaw says he began talks about five months ago with Hillwood Capital's senior vice president David Hicks. The duo's primary task is to find office tenants for Victory Plaza's office component, including the joint venture project, One Victory Tower, which is being done with Houston-based Hines. But as Dallas/Fort Worth knows, that's just the part of the development that's under way in Ross Perot Jr.'s 75-acre plan to change the Dallas skyline with signature residential, hospitality, entertainment and office space.

"All of his friends at Trizec will really miss him," says Thom Ridnour, Trizec's regional vice president, "and we wish him all the best."

Hicks says Brokaw's CBD experience "makes him a perfect fit with the Victory Park team." Brokaw has been Trizec's man on the ground for the 1.8-million-sf Renaissance Tower, 1.1-million Plaza of the Americas, 261,000-sf Park Central I and II and 141,000-sf McKinney Place. During his stint with Trizec, he leased more than a million sf of office space.
