The estimated $100-million venture was initially planned for 170,000 sf of retail, 135 townhouses, 33 detached single-family homes and 20 live-work loft units within a community improvement district Morsberger helped start, as GlobeSt.com previously reported. However, the developer is now asking the county and the two agencies to add 15 acres and 60 single-family homes to his 40-acre site initially called Mountain View Village.
Morsberger's revised plans call for 120,000 sf of office space, 50,000 sf of retail, 73 single-family houses, 135 attached townhomes and 57 attached live-work units. The development site is at Stone Mountain Highway (US 78) and Highpoint Road. Morsberger anticipates the project will be completed by 2007, according to his filed plans.
