Lewis Miller and Andrew Sussman of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant. Mack-Cali was represented in-house by Christopher DeLorenzo, vice president of leasing, and Thomas Savoca, director of leasing. Further terms were not disclosed, however, available space in the building is listed on Mack-Cali's website at an asking price of $40 per sf.
Last week, American Home Assurance Co., another AIG subsidiary, signed on for more than 117,000 sf at Mack-Cali's 317,000-sf 5 Wood Hollow Rd. in Parsippany.
The 42-story 101 Hudson St. is a relatively recent addition to Mack-Cali's portfolio, which now totals more than 30 million sf. The REIT closed on the acquisition of the building in late this past winter, paying $329 million, or about $275 per sf, for it. The seller was a partnership of LCOR, the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio and Merrill Lynch. The latter continues to occupy about half of the building's space.
