The tenant, a provider of water, wastewater and related services that is part of the London-based RWE Thames Water, was represented by Jason Wolf of Colliers Lanard & Axilbund of Philadelphia. The ownership was represented by Michael MacCrory of Strategic Realty. Terms of the lease were not released.
For American Water, the location will consolidate employees from offices in Lawrenceville, Mt. Laurel and Voorhees, NJ. According to company officials, the move is related to a need to bring several functions together. The groups housed at the site will include the company's shared services function and the Northeast regional headquarters.
The signing brings Woodcrest Corporate Center to 94% occupancy. As reported by GlobeSt.com, after the site's conversion from steel plant to class A office complex in 2004, O'Neill Properties signed Towers Perrin to a 200,000-sf lease in a move involving 1,000 jobs. And earlier this year, the ownership signed Popular Mortgage Servicing, the successor to Equity One, to a 57,000-sf lease.
