In addition to helping clients find space, Swearingen will promote what Aardex calls "user effective" building features, a concept developed by Aardex founder and CEO Rick Butler.

The goal of user effective workspaces is to increase productivity among the workers. For Aardex clients, a return on people generates a healthy return on investment. Prior to joining Aardex, Swearingen was senior vice president at Grubb & Ellis Co., and was involved in office sales and leasing. Aardex was founded in 1983.
