The firm signs a five-year lease at the class A, 14-story office tower. Jeffrey Becker, senior vice president at NAI Hunneman Commercial, tells GlobeSt.com that the company's owner has a fondness for the Copley Square area. "Having previously occupied space in Copley Square, they wanted a first-class office building with the amenities, services and surrounding vibrancy that 116 Huntington Avenue offers."
Terms of the lease were not disclosed, but Becker says space in the building generally rents in the mid-$30 per-sf range. The company, which will move into approximately the same amount of space it occupied in New Hampshire, joins a list of tenants in the fully leased building, including the New Boston Fund Inc., National Cable Communications and the law firm of Ankner Levy.
Becker, along with Steve James, executive vice president with NAI Hunneman Commercial, handled the transaction for the owner Beacon Capital Partners along with Ali Cavanaugh and Peter Farnum of the Trammell Crow Co. The tenant was self represented.
