Rowan, which provides international and domestic offshore contract drilling services, as well as overseeing the building of mobile offshore jack-up drilling rigs, has occupied space in the 2800 Post Oak Blvd. building since 1991 and has been a Hines' tenant since 1969. It opened its doors in Post Oak Tower at 5051 Westheimer Rd., but moved to Williams Tower and leased 20,000 sf when the building was closed for renovations.
The 64-story Williams Tower's 1.5 million sf is 63% leased. A Hines contact tells GlobeSt.com that there are about 125,000 sf in leases pending as of now. By year's end, the tower should be 70% occupied if the pipeline becomes reality, according to the contact.
