SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ-Crest Furniture Inc. has leased 234,000 sf of mixed-use space, representing the entire building at 30 Tower Rd. in the Dayton section of this Middlesex County township. The company, a regional furniture retailer, will use the building as a combination of its corporate offices and warehouse. Crest, which is moving into the building this fall, has been operating out of 45 6th St. in East Brunswick, NJ.
Charles Fern and Joel Lubin, both executive vice presidents and principals of Lee & Klatskin Associates, based in Teterboro, NJ, represented both Crest and the owner. Details of the signing were not released, but the property is listed among the holdings of the San Francisco-based AMB Properties. The building had also been posted with at least one listing service with an asking rent of $4.25 per sf.
"This was a significant lease transaction," Lubin says of the deal, which occurred in the New Jersey Turnpike Exit 8A submarket. "This location and facility met Crest's location, warehousing and office requirements."
