"The lease continues the trend of top retailers and major corporations coming to Waterfront Corporate Center II and to Hoboken," says Steven M. Pozycki, SJP's senior market analyst. "Hoboken offers us a wonderful demographic mix," a spokeswoman for the Hampstead, MD-based Jos. A. Bank. "It's an excellent growth opportunity."

The signing was arranged by Michael Stone of Cushman & Wakefield. The terms of the transaction were not released.

The building is Phase II of Waterfront Corporate Center, whose two mirror-image buildings within this city's South Waterfront redevelopment area total 934,000 sf of class A space. Marsh & McLennan occupies 420,000 sf of the 467,000 sf available at Waterfront Corporate Center II. The retail component totals 60,000 sf. The overall project is the result of a public/private venture among SJP Properties, the Port Authority of NY/NJ, which had previously used the site for industrial purposes, and the City of Hoboken.
