AVENTURA, FL-Kansas Marine Co. has inked a lease for 80,000 sf in the warehouse distribution facility at 555 NE 185th St. in Aventura Industrial Center. The aggregate value of the lease is $3.3 million.
The tenant, which supplies food to the cruise ship industry, is a division of Los Angeles-based American Fish & Seafood. It is relocating from smaller quarters in Miami Lakes to take the cold storage and refrigeration areas of the building along with some office and dry storage space. Sysco Foods recently sold the property to locally based Nortek Realty Holdings LLP.
"The new space not only accommodates Kansas Marine's need to double its previous capacity, but also gives it easier access to both Port of Miami in Miami-Dade County and Port Everglades in Broward County," Gordon Messinger, senior commercial associate at Miami Beach-based Terranova Corp., tells GlobeSt.com.
