Located on a 55-acre site on Highway 59 between Garfield and Romeo Plank roads, the fashion-oriented power center, scheduled for opening during fourth quarter of 2007 already has on board three anchor tenants: Nordstrom, Parisian and MJR Theatres. Combined, the three retailers will encompass approximately 400,000 sf. The 129,000-sf Nordstrom is scheduled to open spring 2008. Openings for the 120,000-sf Parisian and the 55,749-sf, 14-screen MJR Theatre have not yet been announced.
"Historically, we've been 95%-plus leased by the time we've opened previous centers, and it's our goal to be as leased as possible by the time we open this one," a Taubman source tells GlobeSt.com. The source adds that in addition to the anchors, the center will include approximately 85 to 95 stores. "The initial response from the merchants has been very positive," she notes.
Designed by Hobbs & Black Architects in Ann Arbor, MI, Partridge Creek is similar in concept to Taubman's 665,000-sf Stony Point Fashion Park, which opened in 2003 in Richmond, VA. Partridge Creek retailers will offer mid-range to better merchandise, with a focus on apparel and lifestyle concepts. Restaurants and other amenities tied into the fashion concept will also be available including two bocce ball courts, an oversized chess board, an outdoor children's play area, three fountains, a central gathering area and "dog-friendly" locations throughout the property. Skanska Construction Co. in Parsippany, NJ, is the general contractor and construction company on the project.
