AUBURN HILLS, MI-Custom Service and Design, Inc. in a relocation move from Waterford, MI, has signed a five-year lease for 7,200 sf, taking the industrial space as is, with no TIs. The asking lease rate of the space, located at 1259 Doris Rd., is $5.75 per sf, triple net, annually.

According to Jeffrey Buckler, vice president of Grubb & Ellis Co.'s industrial group in Detroit, the company, which does light fabricating and welding of small vessels, had examined other properties in the area. "I think this one worked well for them because of logistics and the size range. Plus there is a light crane in there, as well as the set-up they were looking for," Buckler tells GlobeSt.com.

Buckler and Dan Labes, also of Grubb & Ellis' Detroit-based industrial group, represented the tenant and the landlord/owner, Detroit-based Bascf, LLC, in the transaction.

The spaced leased is part of a two-tenant building, constructed in 1977 and totaling approximately 14,400 sf. The transaction brings the property to 100% occupancy, with the owner/landlord occupying the remaining space.
